Download your Verfahrensdokumentation

The Verfahrensdokumentation describes how you capture, book and keep your documents. Norman creates it as a PDF, new at each download, from your current data. It is free on every plan and applies to companies in Germany.

Where is the button?

• Every company: open Accounting, choose Export, turn on Download in GoBD format, then choose Verfahrensdokumentation.
• GmbH and UG: you also find the button under Accounting, Ledger, Export GoBD.

Where does the content come from?

You type nothing. Norman takes the name, legal form, address, chart of accounts, connected bank accounts, connected services and the people with access from your data.

For each year, Norman also calculates:

• how many documents you captured, in how many months and by which channel
• who finalized how many bookings

What is in the document?

The PDF is in German and has the four parts the GoBD names:

1. General description: your company, your yearly figures and your systems.
2. User documentation: how you capture documents, check, correct and export bookings.
3. Technical system documentation: how Norman is built, checksums, the change log and access protection.
4. Operating documentation: operation, retention, data backup and your own checks.

The text depends on your company. A GmbH or UG reads, for example, how the annual close locks the journal. A self-employed person reads that Norman locks no periods for the EÜR.

What you add yourself

The PDF describes only the work in Norman. You describe the rest in your own document and keep it with the PDF:

• what happens to paper documents and where the originals are kept
• which systems you use outside Norman, for example a till, a shop or a payroll program
• who does which task in your company and who stands in for whom

What you should know

• The document stays your own Verfahrensdokumentation, and you are responsible for its content.
• Nobody at Norman reviews it, and Norman holds no GoBD attestation.
• Keep each downloaded version as long as the records it explains.
