Norman pulls in your bank activity continuously, marks paid invoices and attaches receipts to the right transaction. Instead of ticking off statements at month-end, you only review the few open cases.
Norman keeps bank activity, invoices, receipts, and open exceptions in one workflow so matches happen continuously.
Norman imports transactions continuously instead of waiting for month-end CSV exports.
Receipts and payments get linked so expenses do not stay unresolved and input VAT does not get lost.
An incoming payment with the exact invoice total marks your Norman invoice as paid. Only the invoices still waiting for money stay open.
If two transactions fit equally well, Norman links neither and shows you suggestions with a reason: amount, date or text match.
The “Without documents” filter lists every transaction without a receipt, so nothing is missing before the VAT return.
Automatic bank reconciliation compares every bank transaction with open invoices and receipts. This is how Norman decides what it links on its own.
Bank connection included in the free plan.
Incoming payments mark your invoices as paid, receipts land on the right transaction. You only review what is still open.
of receipts are re-matched after every bank import. Upload an invoice early and Norman links it as soon as the payment arrives.
Difference (at least €0.30) allowed for receipts, so bank fees and exchange rates do not block a match.
New transactions arrive through the bank interface as soon as your bank reports them. Matching runs after every import.

An incoming payment with the exact invoice total marks your Norman invoice as paid; with several candidates, the invoice number and client name in the payment reference decide. After every import Norman matches receipts from the last 60 days and suggests the category.
Under “Review documents” Norman shows suggestions with a reason: “Amount match”, “Date match” or “Text match”. The “Without documents” filter lists transactions without a receipt. “Finalize” confirms the booking.
Norman handles every clear-cut case on its own. You only decide when two answers fit equally well.

Start for freeSoftware compares every bank transaction with open invoices and receipts and links them when the amount, date or reference clearly match. In Norman this runs after every bank import. Unclear cases land on a review page with the reason shown.
