Check tax reports and deadlines on mobile

Find the right period, review a preview and distinguish filing from marking a report as filed elsewhere.

Updated

The Taxes tab helps you find the reports available for your business and the periods they cover. What appears depends on your company details, tax settings, supported report types and account access.

This is a guide to the product controls, not a determination of which returns you must file.

1. Open the right report

  1. Open Taxes.
  2. Check the report type, year or period and current status.
  3. Open the report and review its figures.
  4. Follow any message about missing company details, tax settings or unreviewed transactions.
  5. Generate or open the preview where available.

Some report details are native screens, including UStVA and ZM. Other reports open a web form inside the app. If a longer form is difficult on your phone, continue in the web app with the same account.

A report being visible does not mean it is complete or ready to submit. See supported tax years and filings.

2. Review before filing

Check the business, period, income, expenses and VAT figures against your records. Return to Accounting to investigate missing or incorrect transactions.

Preview is not filing. Downloading a PDF or opening the preview does not, by itself, send the return to the Finanzamt.

Only use the final submission action when you intend to file and have reviewed the return. Filing may require an eligible subscription. After submission, check the result and report status; if the response is unclear, verify it before trying again.

Tax payment is a separate action from submitting the return.

3. A return was filed elsewhere

Where the report offers Mark as completed, open it and choose Submitted only to record a filing you already completed outside Norman. It updates Norman's status; it does not transmit another return. Choose Submitted and paid only after checking payment too.

Do not use these controls to dismiss an unresolved filing obligation.

4. Keep deadlines visible

Use Add the deadline to my calendar, where offered, to create a reminder and review the event before saving it. A calendar reminder does not file or pay a return.

Tax Autopilot, where available, opens its own setup/status screen. Review its displayed settings and required actions. Opening an AI summary or enabling a notification is not proof that a filing has been authorized or completed.

If a report is missing or blocked, check its period and supported scope, then send support the report type and error. Consult your advisor if the filing obligation or figures are uncertain.
