Write invoices and get paid

Describe the invoice in one sentence, attach a contract or send a list. Norman drafts the invoices as e-invoices, and you review and send them. Then Norman reminds clients by your rule and spots when the money arrives. Ideal for agencies, consultancies and anyone with several clients.

How it works

In Norman or in your AI assistant, with the same data.

  1. 01

    Ask

Write in the chat what goes on the invoice, or attach a contract:

    • Invoice ACME for 12 hours of consulting at €120, due in 14 days.
    • Here is the framework contract with ACME. Create the invoice for September from it.
  2. 02

    What you get

Norman finds the client, creates the draft with line items, VAT rate and due date and generates the e-invoice. If something is missing, such as the address, Norman asks. Nothing is sent until you click send.

  3. 03

    Go further

    • Which invoices from last month are still unpaid?
    • Send ACME a payment reminder for the overdue invoice.
    • Turn this into a monthly invoice on the first of every month.

Who does what

Norman

What Norman takes over

  • Create the draft

Client, line items, VAT rate, due date and invoice number, as a ZUGFeRD e-invoice.

  • Follow up

Payment reminders and dunning notices go out by your rule, on working days at 9:00.

  • Spot the payment

When the money arrives, Norman matches it to the invoice and stops further reminders.

You

What you decide

  • What goes out

You trigger the sending. Until then, every invoice stays a draft.

  • How reminders work

You set the steps, intervals and fees once, and switch reminders on or off per invoice.

  • What happens when it's unclear

If Norman can't be sure a payment arrived, it asks you on the working day before the reminder.

FAQ

Are the invoices e-invoices?

Yes. Norman creates every invoice as a ZUGFeRD invoice following EN 16931: an ordinary PDF that also carries the invoice data as XML.

Can Norman send invoices automatically?

You trigger the first sending. Recurring invoices and payment reminders then run by your settings. Sending by email and reminders are part of the paid plans.

What happens if a client has already paid?

When Norman sees the incoming payment, the invoice counts as paid and planned reminders are dropped. If it isn't clear, Norman asks you on the working day before the reminder.
