Say it once, never book it by hand again

Describe how a recurring transaction should be booked. Norman drafts the rule in the chat, shows which transactions match and then books new ones automatically or after your review. Ideal for subscriptions, rent, software and regular suppliers.

How it works

In Norman or in your AI assistant, with the same data.

  1. 01

    Ask

Write in the chat what should happen with certain transactions:

    • From now on, book payments to Hetzner as hosting and check with me first.
  2. 02

    What you get

Norman draws the rule right in the chat: trigger, condition, action. You see which past transactions match and create the rule in one click. In review-first mode, every booking waits for your approval first.

  3. 03

    Go further

    • Apply the rule to the transactions since January too.
    • Always assign payments from Nordlicht Studio to the client Nordlicht.
    • Which rules booked something this month?

Who does what

Norman

What Norman takes over

  • Draft the rule

Your sentence becomes a trigger, conditions and actions.

  • Test it first

The preview shows which past transactions the rule would have matched.

  • Keep learning

Correct a category and Norman remembers it for similar transactions, even without a rule.

You

What you decide

  • Automatic or review first

For each rule you choose whether it books right away or waits for your approval.

  • Undo

The history shows every run, and you can undo any of them.

  • Pause

Any rule can be switched off without deleting it.

FAQ

What can a rule do besides setting the category?

A rule can assign a client, set the payment method and notify you. Triggers are new bank transactions, uploaded receipts, overdue invoices or a fixed day of the month.

Do rules work for a GmbH or UG?

Yes. For a GmbH or UG, a rule books to the accounts of your chart of accounts, such as SKR03 or SKR04.

What if a rule books something wrong?

Open the rule's history and undo the run. Then adjust the condition or switch the rule to review first.
