Tax deadlines and reminders

When the JPK_V7, the VAT-UE, PIT and CIT advances, the DRA and the annual returns are due, how Norman moves a deadline that falls on a weekend or public holiday, and how the reminders work.

Updated

On the Taxes page each report has its deadline. Norman works it out itself and reminds you before it passes.

A JDG's annual health contribution reconciliation goes into the April DRA, so it shares that deadline: 20 May. See ZUS contributions and the DRA file.

Weekends and public holidays

If the last day of a deadline falls on a Saturday or a statutory public holiday, the deadline is the next working day (art. 12 § 5 of the Tax Ordinance, Ordynacja podatkowa). Norman applies this to every deadline: weekends and Polish public holidays are already counted in the date you see on the report.

Reminders

Norman reminds you of a deadline twice:

  • 5 days before and on the day: the JPK_V7 (JPK_V7K records included), the VAT-UE, PIT and CIT advances, the DRA,
  • 14 days before and on the day: the annual PIT, the CIT-8 and the April DRA with the annual health reconciliation.

Reminders arrive in the app, as a push notification and by email: one email per company listing everything due. The owner and the company's members get them.

Norman sends no reminder for a report that:

  • you marked as submitted or paid,
  • is a JPK_V7 already sent from Norman,
  • covers a period that has not ended yet.

A company on Estonian CIT gets no CIT reminders, because Norman does not settle it.

Turn reminders on or off

  1. Open Taxes and click Tax settings.
  2. In the Deadline reminders section, tick or untick Remind me of tax deadlines.

The setting applies to the whole company and to all three channels at once.

What Norman does not do yet

  • It does not remind you of deadlines that are not on your report list, for example registrations in CEIDG or with ZUS.
  • It does not file the VAT-UE, the CIT-8, the annual PIT or the DRA: a reminder means you file it yourself. The exception is the JPK_V7, which Norman files after you approve it. See The JPK_V7: how Norman prepares and files it.
