Tax office: choose or confirm your office

Where in Norman to choose or confirm your tax office (urząd skarbowy), which office is competent for a JDG and which for a company, and why Norman prepares no JPK file without it.

Updated

The JPK_V7 file and the annual returns name your tax office. Norman puts in them only an office that you chose or confirmed yourself.

Step by step

  1. Open Account → Taxes, or Taxes → Tax settings, and expand the Business details section.
  2. In the Tax office (urząd skarbowy) field, type the town, name or code of the office and choose it from the list.
  3. If the office was filled in automatically, you see "Filled in automatically: check that this is your office, then confirm it." Check it and click Confirm.

Below the field you then see "Your JPK and annual returns name…" with the office's name and code.

Which office is competent

  • JDG: the office for the owner's place of residence, not the business address.
  • Sp. z o.o.: the office for the company's registered seat.

Norman does not know your home address, so it does not choose the office for you. If in doubt, ask your tax office.

Good to know

  • Without a chosen or confirmed office, Norman does not prepare the JPK file.
  • Choosing it in Norman reports nothing: it does not notify the tax office or CEIDG.
  • After you move house (JDG) or the company moves its seat, check whether your competent office has changed and choose the new one if needed.

Your other company details are covered in Company details: NIP, address, PESEL and tax office.
