Norman cannot change the submission

Once the tax registration questionnaire (Fragebogen zur steuerlichen Erfassung) has been submitted, Norman cannot technically edit or cancel that submission.

After submission, processing is handled by the Finanzamt.

Correct a mistake

If you notice a mistake after submission, contact your responsible Finanzamt directly.

Usually, you can send an informal notice with the corrected detail. Have these details ready:

• your name and address
• submission date
• your tax number, if already available
• the affected field and the correct new value

For topics such as Kleinunternehmer status or VAT, deadlines and binding choices can matter. Clarify those changes directly with the Finanzamt or a tax advisor.
